AQUILEGIA VIRIDIFLORA

An heirloom Columbine introduced in 1902 bearing unusual, nodding, purplish brown flowers. Very attractive blue-green, fern-like foliage. Flower stems grow to around 15cms tall. Aquilegias are tough & reliable perennials tolerant of most soils, although they prefer it rich & loamy. Cut back after flowering and it will come away again with its ferny foliage.
