CHASMANTHE AETHIOPICA

A South African bulbous plant, a member of the Iridaceae family, making sword-shaped leaves and spikes of beautiful bicoloured orange and gold, long-tubed flowers during winter to early spring. These bulbs flower when there is little else around, long lasting either in the garden or picked for a vase, and adored by the silvereyes for their nectar. Grows to around 50cm tall and requires a free draining situation in sun or semi shade. There is several bulbs in each container, coming into seasonal growth
