ECHIUM PININANA

Tree Echium – A tall growing Echium native to the Canary islands, making a basal rosette of bristly leaves in the first year and then erupting into a dense tall tower of blue flowers to 3 metres or so tall. A great structural plant for a sunny situation. This is a biennial plant that always leaves behind some seedlings to keep the species going.
